How to tell the age of a HORSE with out looking at the teeth!?
Teeth are pretty much the only way, unless they are a thoroughbred or harness racer when you can see by the brand- Body condition says something about the horses age, but it is a very general idea and can not be exact. Older horses tend to appear bony around the face, and their eyes are typically not as bright as the younger horse. The coat is often not as shiny either. But, like I said this way it is very general- I have seen 20yr old horses that look 10 and vise versa.
Reply:With the horse's birthday then you can do the math.
Reply:Ask the horse :D
Reply:cut it's leg and count the rings

Reply:Call a VET and ask them this question!
Reply:sorry dont have any idea
Reply:when you buy a horse it comes with a passport it should have date of birth on there if not get a vet to have a look at its teeth
Reply:Get the horses papers. And teeth aren't that reliable after a certain point anyway
Reply:Really honestly u cant. U can tel if its a realy old horse bcz of teh wrinkles on its nose. But u cant tell without lookin at their teeth. Want more info? Cz im a horse owner. So just let me kno.
Reply:You can get a vague idea of a horse's age if you look at it's condition. Is it sway backed etc.
