i was just wandering what yall have to pay

How much is it to get your horses teeth floated?
Call your vet's office and ask the receptionist about the fees. Be sure to ask if there is an additional barn call fee, sedation fee, etc.
Reply:I pay $60 and thats just floating! Nothing to do with abstracting teeth
Reply:100
Reply:I'm guessing around $100. I had my horse's teeth float a few months ago. Congrats on taking the time to make sure your horse is healthy!
Reply:They start at about $60 for a basic float and go up to $150 for more extensive work and extractions.
Reply:in our area one dentist starts at 40.00 for a maintance float the other 60.00
Reply:Wow! From reading everyone elses comments, I guess the vets around here are pretty expensive. Mine charges about $135 for a float. Of course that includes sedation and the float, but no extractions. Dang, I wish I had those good prices
Reply:Floating can cost from $50 to several hundred, depending on what is needed. True dental work with grinders and motorized equipment (a true horse dentist) I have paid upwards of $500 for the work.
Reply:I have a horse dentist that only charges about $45 no matter what the horse needs done. He doesn't charge anything if he just looks and the horse is OK.

He doesn't believe in using power tools or speculums and he has a really good way with even difficult horses. If a horse is upset enough to need a tranquilizer, he has the vet or an owner give it.
Reply:as you can see, the rough cost if around 100 dollers. it will be more if they need a wolf tooth removed or if they have "ramps". but it is so worth it, if you have the $. it really helped me and my horse improve with turns and stopping ( i barrel race ).
Reply:my farier charges $50 for teeth
Reply:i pay 100.00$ per horse. That's for the anesthetists and the floating. Oh and for sheath cleaning.
Reply:Office visit--$22....Farm call--depends on the area, how far from the office, $30-$60. Sedation....usually around $22-$25. Float/balance with motorized equipment, $50. Geriatric float/balance is $65....so if they go to the office it's around $95 or so for the average horse.
